Recommended workflow (Passport → Postcard)

  1. Start with your best original studio photo (no selfies).
  2. Improve clarity/lighting in Enhance Lab (ears and eyes must be clear).
  3. Open Launch Toolkit → select NTA preset → generate Passport Photo and NEET Postcard Photo (46).
  4. If NTA asks for a Name & Date stamp, open the Image Resize Tool → enable Text overlay → choose Below photo (white band) → enter your Name + Date → download.
  5. Keep both around 1–50 KB using Compression Lab (quality stays high, still under 200 KB).
  6. Export with consistent naming: `NEET_2026_Passport.jpg` and `NEET_2026_Postcard_4x6.jpg`.

Why NEET photo mistakes cause Application On Hold

For a medical aspirant in India, NEET UG 2026 is the culmination of years of Biology, Physics, and Chemistry revision. But many future doctors get blocked on a small technical issue: confusing their passport photo with their postcard photo (46).

NTA is famously strict. They require correct aspect ratio, clean white background, and often a Name & Date stamp. If you'd rather focus on mock tests than pixel math, use SarkariPixel's Launch Toolkit with the built-in NTA (NEET/JEE/CUET) preset.

1) Passport Size vs Postcard Size: what's the difference?

NTA asks for both photos for a reason: one is your digital profile photo; the other (postcard size) is used on a proforma / printed verification sheet that may be checked at the exam center.

A) Passport Size Photograph

Fastest way: Launch Toolkit → NTA preset → NTA Photo • 3.5×4.5 cm. If you want manual control, use Image Resize Tool plus Compression Lab.

B) Postcard Size Photograph (the big photo)

The catch: this postcard photo should be a high-resolution version of the same image used for passport size. Avoid different clothes/hair style between the two'this is a common mismatch issue during verification.

Fastest way: Launch Toolkit → NTA preset → NEET Postcard Photo • 4×6 in. If the output is too large, reduce it with Compression Lab to ~1–50 KB.

2) Technical specifications table (NEET 2026)

Document Type Aspect / Size File Size (KB) Background / Ink Best SarkariPixel tool
Passport Photo 3.5 × 4.5 cm 10200 KB White Toolkit (NTA Photo) + Compress
Postcard Photo 4 × 6 inch 10200 KB White Toolkit (NEET Postcard) + Enhance
Signature Commonly 4.0 × 2.0 cm (portal may vary) 4–30 KB Black ink on white Toolkit (NTA Signature) + Compress
Thumb Impression As per portal guidance 10200 KB Blue ink Toolkit (NTA Thumb) + Compress

3) The Name and Date mandate (NEET photos)

Unlike many SSC exams, NTA often prefers (and sometimes mandates) that the photograph has the candidate's Name and Date of taking photo printed at the bottom.

Good news: SarkariPixel now supports adding the Name & Date stamp during resizing. Use Image Resize Tool → turn on Text overlay → set Style: Below photo (white band) (like studio prints) → enter your name + date → download.

Tip: follow the exact format shown in your NEET/NTA instructions. If your portal insists on a specific date format, type it exactly as instructed.

4) Using the SarkariPixel Launch Toolkit (NTA preset)

We built the Launch Toolkit to solve the postcard problem once and for all.

5) Common rejection traps in NEET UG forms

6) Privacy: why future doctors trust SarkariPixel.in

As a medical student, you're joining a profession that values confidentiality. Many free resizing sites upload your personal documents to servers. SarkariPixel is built to be privacy-first.

7) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How do I add Name & Date below my NEET photo like a studio print?

A: Open Image Resize Tool, load your photo, then enable Text overlay and select Below photo (white band). Enter your Name and Date, then download the stamped image.

Q: Can I use a photo with a blue background for NEET?

A: No. NTA typically mandates a white background. If your background looks yellow/grey, retake the photo or correct it with Enhance Lab.

Q: I have a beard in my photo'will it be a problem?

A: Generally it's fine if you look like your photo. If you plan to shave before the exam, consider taking a fresh photo now so it matches on exam day.

Q: My signature is 35KB but the limit is 30KB. What should I do?

A: Use Compression Lab and target 25KB. Keep contrast high (black ink) so it stays sharp.
