1) Blurry text on resized marksheets

Many students try to resize a photo of their 10th/12th marksheet to fit strict limits (example: 200 KB). Generic tools often over-compress and the text becomes pixelated, making Roll Number or Date of Birth unreadable.

Fix: Enhance first, then resize, then compress.
  • Use Enhance Lab before resizing to sharpen edges and improve readability.
  • Use Compression Lab to hit a safe KB target without destroying text.
  • If you need a PDF, convert using Image to PDF after the image is clean.

2) Wrong background color (the white wall rule)

SSC and IBPS portals are strict about backgrounds. A busy background (door, curtain, park) often triggers rejection or manual scrutiny.

Fix: Click on a plain white wall. If indoor lighting makes the background yellow/gray, use Enhance Lab to brighten and clean the background.

3) "Date on photo" and "Name" errors

Many aspirants use stickers or low-quality apps to add text. The photo then looks edited or fake, and some portals or document verifiers reject it.

Fix: Start with a high-resolution original photo. Use Resize Lab so that if you add text later, the final file still stays within the 20-50 KB range typically required by SSC GD/CGL.

Note: A dedicated date/name tool is planned. Until then, keep text additions minimal and do not over-compress after adding text.

4) Blue ink signatures and smudged thumb impressions

Bank exams (SBI/IBPS) often demand black ink for signatures and handwritten declaration. Thumb impressions must be clear with visible ridge lines.

Fix: If your thumb impression looks like a dark blob or the paper looks gray, use Enhance Lab to increase contrast. This makes the background whiter and ink lines sharper.

5) Exceeding strict KB limits

If a portal says "Max 50 KB" and your file is 50.1 KB, upload can fail instantly.

Fix: Do not guess. Use Compression Lab and set a safe target below the limit (example: target 45 KB for a 50 KB cap).

6) Incorrect pixel dimensions (resolution)

Some portals check width and height in pixels, not just file size. A 30 KB photo that is 100 x 100 pixels may be rejected for low resolution.

Fix: Use Launch Toolkit. Select the exam preset (UPSC/Banking/SSC) and it sets the recommended pixels automatically so you do not have to memorize notices.

7) Multiple documents in one upload

Some forms ask for semester marksheets or certificates in one single PDF. Students upload multiple files one by one and the portal overwrites the previous upload.

Fix:
  1. Take photos of all pages (use good light).
  2. Convert each to PDF using Image to PDF.
  3. Combine into one file using Merge PDFs.

Why SarkariPixel is different

FAQ

Can I resize a PDF directly on your site?

Our resizing and enhancement tools are specialized for images (JPG/PNG) for maximum clarity. For PDFs, convert pages using PDF to Image, optimize the image, then recreate a clean PDF via Image to PDF.

Why does my photo look stretched after resizing?

This happens when width and height are forced without preserving aspect ratio. Use Resize Lab so your face stays natural and padding fills the rest.

Is it safe to merge my marksheets on SarkariPixel?

Yes. Merge happens locally in your browser. Files do not get uploaded to a server, so your marks and personal data stay on your device.

Final check: open the final file at 100% zoom. If text looks blocky or signature strokes break, reduce compression and re-target KB gradually.
